If Team Europe is going to win the 2017 Solheim Cup, they will require a record-breaking comeback in the singles, after Team USA’s dominant performance in the last three sessions.

The score currently stands at 10 ½ - 5 ½ in Team USA’s favor and if the play they have produced during the first two days continues Sunday, it will take a monumental effort from Annika Sorenstam’s side to leave Des Moines victorious.

With the singles matches selected, we take a look at the players going head-to-head on the final day.

Match 1 - Anna Nordqvist vs Lexi Thompson

9.31 a.m.

The first singles match sees each team’s highest ranked players go head-to-head, with both looking to remain unbeaten for the week. Anna Nordqvist will need to rely on her vast Solheim experience if she is to beat the World No.2.

Match 2 - Georgia Hall vs Paula Creamer

9.42 a.m.

With a singles record of 4-2-0, Paula Creamer will prove a tough test for Europe’s Georgia Hall. The English golfer has played well in all of her matches, however Creamer will be full of confidence coming into the match off back-to-back wins on Saturday.

Match 3 - Mel Reid vs Cristie Kerr

9.53 a.m.

Cristie Kerr is another American who is unbeaten this week and will be hoping to keep that feat going by defeating Europe’s Mel Reid. However, it is without a doubt that Reid will be up for the challenge as she looks to get blue on the board early for her side.

Match 4 - Catriona Matthew vs Stacy Lewis

10.04 a.m.

Catriona Matthew is another experienced Solheim Cup player in the early singles matches, as Sorenstam looks to get blue on the board early. Although an alternate pick, Matthew will look to take advantage of Stacy Lewis’ singles record of 0-2-1.

Match 5 - Karine Icher vs Angel Yin

10.15 a.m.

Angel Yin has impressed many fans this week with her laid back attitude and big hitting, and will certainly ride on the energy of the American crowd. Karine Icher has picked up a win, a draw and a loss in the three singles matches she has played in previous Solheim Cups.

Match 6 - Caroline Masson vs Michelle Wie

10.26 a.m.

Michelle Wie has two wins and two losses in Solheim singles matches, and although her team has a commanding lead, she will need to stay focussed if she is to keep Caroline Masson from picking up her first point or half point in singles play.

Match 7 - Jodi Ewart Shadoff vs Lizette Salas

10.37 a.m.

Lizette Salas is unbeaten in singles matches at the Solheim Cup, picking up a win and a half in her two appearances. Team USA captain Juli Inkster will be hoping her player can remain unbeaten and pick up at least half a point against Jodi Ewart Shadoff to move closer to victory.

Match 8 - Charley Hull vs Brittany Lang

10.48 a.m.

Europe’s Charley Hull comes into this match battling a wrist injury, while Brittany Lang heads into her third match of the week fresh off two victories alongside Brittany Lincicome. An impressive singles record of 2-1-1 may well work to her advantage.

Match 9 - Carlota Ciganda vs Brittany Lincicome

10.59 a.m.

Lincicome will follow her four-ball partner for the week, Lang, as she takes on Carlota Ciganda in match number nine. However, she will need another strong performance if she is to overcome Ciganda’s unbeaten singles record.

Match 10 - Florentyna Parker vs Gerina Piller

11.10 a.m.

Having only played in one session this week, Europe’s Florentyna Parker will need to take advantage of any tiredness sneaking into Gerina Piller’s play, as the American has played in three of the four sessions this week. Piller’s memories of holing the winning putt in 2015, may prove enough to help swing momentum her way.

Match 11 - Madelene Sagstrom vs Austin Ernst

11.21 a.m.

Two rookies battle it out in the penultimate Solheim Cup match. Austin Ernst will be filled with confidence after back-to-back wins in the Saturday sessions, while Sagstrom will be seeking a blue scoreboard for extra motivation after losing both matches she played this week.

Match 12 - Emily Pedersen vs Danielle Kang

11.32 a.m.

Another pair of rookies close out the 2017 Solheim Cup, as Emily Pedersen and Danielle Kang go head-to-head. Pedersen has yet to win this week, while Kang will be looking to build on her solid putting performances during the first day, where she picked up two points for her side.
