Despite not being able to close out the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open, Karrie Webb still made the move of the week in the Rolex Rankings with her T2 finish.

The LPGA and LET veteran was the story for much of the final day in Scotland, and when she chipped in for eagle on 14 to lead by two it was hard to see the experienced golfer lose her winning position. However, a bogey on 16 and a double on 17 saw the Aussie fall two strokes behind eventual winner Mi Hyang Lee.

Her strong week on the Dundonald Links sees Webb move back inside the Rolex Rankings top-100, moving up 38 places from 105^th to 67^th. “I played really well,” Webb said. “I drove the ball great and hit my irons really well, and the creative shots I played really nicely and actually trusted my feel and creativity rather than being so technical about it.

“So I felt really good about how I played this week and I actually felt good about how calm I was today, considering it's been a while since I've been in contention. Hopefully that bodes well for next week.”

Lexi Thompson reached her highest ranking in her career as she leapfrogged Ariya Jutanugarn, after the Thai golfer finished outside the top-5 last week. Thompson has an impressive record over the rolling two-year ranking period, which consists of 26 top-10 finishes in 45 events including four wins and seven runner-up finishes.

Her major record is also impressive. Since her first major championship win at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, Thompson has finished in the top-10 in three of her last five major appearances, including a tie for 8^th at last year’s British Open.

Solheim Cup

Jodi Ewart Shadoff moved into the fourth European Rolex Ranking qualification spot for after it was revealed Anna Nordqvist had not played in enough events to meet selection criteria. The Swede will now require a captain’s pick from Anikka Sorenstam. To read the full story click here>>

Elsewhere, Emily Kristine Pedersen put in a final round 68 to finish in T13, two shots back of fellow European wildcard hopeful Caroline Masson. With just one week left to pick up points, both Pedersen and Masson made strong cases to make Sorenstam’s side.

For Team USA, Paula Creamer showed signs of being back to her best with a T13 finish at last week’s Scottish Open. The American has made six appearances for Team USA at the Solheim Cup but will rely on a wildcard pick if she is to make the side this year.

Race to the CME Globe

Min Jung Hur was the big mover in the Race to the CME Globe standings. The Korean moved up eight places and inside the top-10 into ninth position after finishing in a tie for second last week.

Lexi Thompson still leads the field with 2,554 points, with So Yeon Ryu (2), Ariya Jutanugarn (3), Sung Hyun Park (4), Brooke Henderson (5), In Gee Chun (6), Sei Young Kim (7), Cristie Kerr (8), Hur (9) and Amy Yang (10) rounding out the top-10.
