Best friends Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer will go head-to-head with European Solheim veterans Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall in the first fourball match of the 14th edition of the Solheim Cup. Pressel and Creamer were paired together in the first foursomes this morning. Pressel and Creamer took the first match this morning over Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen 3&2.

Hedwall sat the morning matches and will make her first appearance in the 2015 Solheim Cup this afternoon. Hedwall went 5-0-0 in 2013.

Rookie Alison Lee sat the first round, but is no stranger to match play competition having played on three victorious USA Jr. Solheim Cup teams. Angela Stanford will provide some valuable experience to rookie Lee.

Charley Hull played earlier and helped the European team secure a point. She is paired with Nocera who has an impressive Solheim Cup record of 5-3-2

Match three could prove to be one of the toughest of the day with three long hitters. Kerr and Reid both won their morning matches.

Ciganda making her 2015 debut having sat out in the morning round. She had an impressive 2013 with a record of 3-0-0.

Kerr and Thompson proved to be a great pair in the morning match ups winning 2&1.

Gerina Piller

Brittany Lang

Sandra Gal

Caroline Masson

The Texan residents, Gerina Piller and Brittany Lang will be paired with the Germans Sandra Gal and Carlota Ciganda.

Gal and Ciganda will be playing in front of a home crowd and for the first time in the Solheim Cup.

Gal secured a point in the morning round for team Europe winning their match 3&2.
